The events below are those that are currently covered by the FundApps Corporate Actions service, an add-on with the FundApps Shareholding Disclosure service. FundApps work in partnership with Exchange Data International to source the Corporate Actions data for over 150 exchanges worldwide.

Event Event Code Description
Consolidation / Reverse Stock Split CONSD An increase in the Face/Nominal Value of the security. Company’s Equity Capital remains the same but the shares in issue reduces. Opposite of Sub-Division.
Dividends (Stock) DIV When the dividend an investor receives from a company is paid in the form of stock rather than cash. This can have the impact of the company issuing more stock, thus increasing the shares in issue figure in the market.
Dividend Re-investment Plan DRIP When the cash dividends that an investor receives from a company are reinvested to repurchase more stock, making the investment in the company grow little by little. Has the impact of increasing the shares in issue figure in the market.
New Listing NLIST A new listing is when a security lists on an exchange for the first time. Has the impact of increasing the shares in issue figure in the market.
Rights RTS Rights Issue is an offer to existing shareholders to subscribe to further securities in proportion to their holding, at a fixed price, made by means of the issue of an renounceable letter which may be traded for a period before payment for securities is due. The allotment of shares will usually be in the same company. In case of Redemption Rights has NO subscription price. Redemption Rights are a tax efficient form of Buyback. Redemption Rights are created as a Rights issue and not Bonus because the shareholder has the Right not to accept the security but get cash directly. Has the impact of increasing the shares in issue figure in the market and can also change the number of shares held in treasury by the company.
Sub Division / Stock Split-Dividend SD A reduction in the Face/Nominal Value of the security. Company's Equity Capital remains the same but the shares in issue increases. Opposite of Consolidation.
Bonus Issue BON In US stock splits are classified as Bonus issue unless there is CUSIP/ISIN change or surrender of existing shares & issue of new shares. This is actually an additional allotment of free shares to the shareholders of the company. Stock splits for the rest of the world are considered to be a sub-division events.
Bonus Rights BR Bonus Event with tradable rights attached with it.
